Pedicure Treatments - French Pedicure Treatments

It is widely agreed that having a pedicure done on your feet is one of the most relaxing forms of treatment there is, however besides having the normal straight forward pedicures done, there are other variation such as French Pedicures which take it a bit further.

Now, all of those extras that come with a pedicure of course cost you extra. Prices for a normal French pedicure at a salon or nail specialist is between $20 and $30. But, if you would like to save a few dollar bills by doing it yourself, at home, sure! Just make sure you follow my instructions!
Firstly, picking the Nail Polish

For a French pedicure you need two different colors that one normally expects from a French Pedicure. You need white (French Tip White to be exact) and a light pink or peach tone for the base (Barely Pink to be precise). You could even try using a light pink with a bit of a metallic in it for some extra groove to it. You can get these nail polishes at most drug stores (CVS, Brooks, Walgreens) for about three bucks. Do not pick a base that is really thick because you are applying 1 layers of nail polish and if you have 2 layers of thick nail polish, it is hard for it to dry with a higher chance of an uneven finish.

Lotion and Soaking
Of course soaking your feet in warm water to soften them isn't necessary if you are giving yourself a basic French Nail Polish treatment I do off course recommend it as it’s a very rejuvenating practice which extends the enjoyment level of having pedicures in the first place.

Also, to relieve your toes and feet of dry skin, exfoliate your feet then apply a nice soft lotion, I generally recommend that you use thicker solutions on the feet as runny types generally don’t offer the moisturizing benefits of thick lotions. Now, massage the lotion onto your feet, between your toes, on your cuticles and even on your lower legs for the full relaxation effect. Once you have applied the lotion to the cuticles, you can gently push them back with orange stick in circular motions. Remember to do this slowly and gently, you don’t want to push to hard.
