Pedicure Equipment: Pedicure Spa
A pedicure spa is a common name for anything from the actual receptacle or chair in
which you place your feet during a pedicure to the actual procedure itself. The correct use of the word is to describe the actual chair that you
sit on while a pedicure is performed on or just a receptacle where you place your feet when a pedicure is being conducted.
The range of prices for pedicure spas are very wide from some costing as little as $60 to those professional chairs that cost
well over $1000. Note that every pedicure center or salon should have at least one of these pedicure spas as they greatly ease the work of the
pedicure and will give a much better service compared to a basin and cloth approach.
Up market pedicure spas have numerous functions and would help relaxing the whole body rather
than just concentrating on the feet. The chair sections normally have a built-in massage routine while the basins would have multiple functions
like steam cleaning, pulse massage functions and even normally have a built in pump and heater with an outlet shower head at the basin for the
pedicurist to clean your feet. So extremely high end models even have a wax heater and moisturizer dispenser for those extra
treatments.
On the lower end of the market, pedicure spas should still be very effective and still function
well to provide relaxation to the person having the pedicure. At the very least, pedicure spas should have an in-built water pump which can
properly massage your feet with pulses of water. You can purchase such pedicure spas very cheaply on Ebay.
If you are interested in actually having a pedicure solution at home I would only recommend
having a pedicure spa if you actually have a person that is willing to do the pedicure for you. If you intend to use it on yourself then it
really does that the pleasure out of the pedicure. These systems are more suited to people who run salons or manicure or pedicure
centers.
